How can we help?
Most answers are below. For anything else, email us. We answer in English, usually within two working days.

Easiest: in the extension, use Send feedback (the megaphone icon in the popup or side panel, or Settings → Feedback), or Report this problem next to any error. It opens a prefilled email in your own email app; you can choose to add diagnostics and see exactly what they contain first. Don’t send license keys or passwords by email.
Frequently asked questions
Does Store Watcher show a store’s sales or revenue?
Store Watcher shows what the store itself publishes: products, prices, stock flags (in stock or sold out), launch dates and its own best-selling order. Revenue, orders and traffic aren’t public, so tools that show them are estimating.
Which stores does it work with?
Shopify storefronts that serve their public catalog, which is almost all of them. Password-protected stores can’t be read. Headless stores (custom front ends) work when the store’s Shopify domain can be found. Some stores rate-limit automated reads; Store Watcher backs off and tells you.
Is any of my data sent to you?
No. There is no Store Watcher server. The extension talks only to the stores you open or watch, to Shopify’s image server when you export images, and to the license provider when you activate Pro. See the privacy policy.
Why does Chrome ask for access when I watch a store?
Background checks need to read that one store’s catalog while you’re not on its page. Chrome asks for that site only, and the permission is removed when you stop watching the store. There’s no website access at install.
Can I import the export into my own store?
Yes. The Shopify CSV follows Shopify’s official product template, and products import as drafts by default. Only import products, descriptions and images you have the right to use.
Is Store Watcher made by Shopify?
No. It works with Shopify stores but isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify Inc.
How do I cancel Pro?
From the customer portal linked in the extension’s Settings → Plan, once Pro is available. Free keeps working without a license.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Data → Delete everything, or remove the extension. Everything is stored in your browser only.
How often are watched stores checked?
Daily on Free. Pro can check every hour, or every 6, 12 or 24 hours. Checks run while Chrome is open, with a random offset per store so stores aren’t hit at the same moment. A store that limits requests is retried later, with growing gaps.
Why does a store show “1,000 of 25,000+ read”?
Free reads up to 1,000 products per watched store and Pro up to 25,000. When a read stops early, Store Watcher says so, and metrics that need the whole catalog (counts, oldest product) are marked rather than guessed.
Do I need an account?
No. Free works without any sign-up. Pro uses a license key that you paste into Settings.
Can I move my watchlist to another computer?
Yes. Settings → Data → Back up saves a JSON file with your settings, watched stores, tags, alerts and saved views. Restore it on the other computer. It doesn’t include your license key.
Does it work in other Chromium browsers?
It’s built and tested for Google Chrome. Other Chromium browsers that support Manifest V3 and the side panel usually work, but we don’t test them.
Troubleshooting
- “This doesn’t look like a Shopify store.” The page isn’t a Shopify storefront, or it hides its catalog. For headless stores, open a product page and try again.
- “Blocked by the store.” The store’s bot protection or rate limit stopped the read. Store Watcher retries later with growing gaps; there’s nothing you need to do.
- No notifications. Check Settings → Checks & alerts (notifications on, quiet hours) and that Chrome is allowed to show notifications in your operating system.
- Watched store says site access is missing. Click Allow on its card, or remove and re-add it.
Privacy
